                           Attacked zeppelin LZ39 17th May 1915 in an Avro 504, dropping two 20lb bombs on it.
                           He was MID for this. Later in August 1915 he sunk a submatine and was awarded a DSO for this -
                           the first person to sink a submarine by air attack. He recieved a bar to the DSO in 1917 for Bombing
                           and reconnaissance work in the Mediterranean. Later awared CMG and Air Force Cross.
